Functionality
Conversion of a two-digit ISO language key INPUT into its SAP internal single-digit presentation OUTPUT. You can assign these using the fields LAISO and SPRAS in table T002. If an INPUT cannot be changed (because it is not defined as T002-LAISO), this reults in an error message and triggers the exception UNKNOWN_LANGUAGE.
Single-digit entries are (for reasons of compatibility) also supported, by passing them on unchanged to OUTPUT. In this case, the system does not check against table T002.

Notes
With two-digit entries there is no need to distinguish between upper and lower case letters. However, with single-digit languages, lower and upper case letters stand for different languages!
