Functionality

You use this function module as inbound process code for the PEOROU IDoc to create or update bill of material (BOM), routing, and production version in the destination ERP system (SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA) for production versions with version-controlled BOM and shop floor routing originating from SAP Digital Supply Chain Management, Edition for SAP S/4HANA.

The input values lead to creation or update of the BOM, routing, and production version. The export values are used to set the IDoc status (processing was successful or failed) and detailed messages are created in the application log.

Note that you must implement the Business Add-In BADI_CP_BOM_MAINTAIN to change the version-controlled BOM usage value in the PEOROU IDoc received from your PEO system to a value that can be read by this inbound function module in your SAP ECC system.

The system considers the following fields when creating or updating the bill of material, routing, and production version:
