Functionality

This function reads one record in a variant table and returns the values in the table columns requested.
The table is identified by its language-independent name.

Notes

Table QUERY contains the selection criterion for access and the names of the table columns requested in the result.

1. Selection criterion

For the lines in the selection criterion in the QUERY table, the
ATCIO field has the value 'I'. The values of the other elements of
the QUERY structure in these lines is as follows:
VARNAM: Name of table column.
ATFOR: Type of table column (NUM = numeric, SYM = alphanumeric).
ATWRT: Alphanumeric value for comparison.
ATFLV: Numeric value for comparison.

When you access the table, the function checks whether a value is
identical to the value for comparison.

2. Requested table columns

The QUERY structure must contain lines with ATCIO = '0' and
VARNAM = Name of table column for the requested table columns.
The other sub-fields must be empty.

Table MATCH contains the values of the requested table columns, if access is successful. The structure matches table QUERY.

The validity date of the current configuration is used as the validity date for accessing the table.
