EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_READ - EDI interface: Open IDoc for reading

The reading of an Intermediate Document is initiated with the function module 'EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_READ'. Several Intermediate Documents can be read at the same time using a corresponding number of 'OPEN' calls.

The Intermediate Document can be read sequentially from the first data record with the function module 'EDI_SEGMENT_GET_NEXT' in a further process. Alternatively, the Intermediate Document can be positioned on a certain data record using the function module 'EDI_SEGMENT_GET'. Sequential processing then restarts at this position.

In 'READ' mode, the status of the Intermediate Document cannot be changed.
