This function module enables waste quantities from the entry documents in inventory management to be posted between plants and storage locations. A distinction is made between postings between two different plants and between postings to different storage locations within one plant. It is assumed that all movements are carried out in a one-step procedure. The entry documents selected are stored temporarily for processing, and the following checks are made before the dialog box is called for selecting the movement type and the receiving plant and storage location:

• The system checks whether inventory management is active for the entry document category.

• The plant and storage location data in the entry document is checked.

• The default parameters entered in the dialog box are checked.

After the posting parameters have been transferred from the dialog box, the following processing steps are triggered:

• Checking the plant data and setting the operation parameter

• Preparing the data for the material document to be created

• Transferring the posting parameters from the dialog box to the entry document

The entry documents are then created or changed. If only temporary numbers were available when the documents were created, these are now replaced by real numbers. The data is then prepared and transferred to the BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.

Note:

Movement always takes place with the complete quantity; movements with partial quantities are not supported.

Posting documents in which a storage bin is entered (in other words, posting quantities from a storage bin-administered storage location to a storage location without storage bins) is not currently supported with this function module.

The following functions are available in the dialog box:

• Continue: Documents are saved.

• Cancel: Processing is canceled and you return to the list.

• Transfer: Data on the receiving plant and storage location is transferred to the entry documents. You must do this before you save.
