Functionality

The function module is called during the search for valid characteristics combinations. It is called per item to be checked and per product allocation step.

Using the function module, the field catalog (CT_ATPFIELD) can be changed per product allocation step. The change affects all the following product allocation steps of this item in the current product allocation procedure.
Using the characteristics values from the field catalog, a search is made for a valid characteristics combination. The check is then carried out against the product allocation time series of this characteristics combination. A change to the entries in the field catalog is not normally necessary.

If a sequence of product allocation procedures is used, in which a product allocation group occurs several times in its product allocation procedures, a change to the characteristics values is necessary (if the product allocation object is not changed in the product allocation control).
If the characteristic values are not changed in this case, the same characteristics combinations are found in the second usage of the product allocation group. As the free quantity was already exhausted during the first usage of the product allocation group, no additional quantity can be assigned during the second usage. The sequence of product allocation procedures is of no use in this case.

If characteristic values are changed generally (for the entire product allocation check), it is better to use the function module EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLATPQ_010.
