Functionality

With this user exit, dependent on the ATP segment of the requirement to be substituted and the RBA substitution data, you can determine the ATP segment for the substitution check.

It is always called during the availability check if the RBA has been called before and a rule with substitutions was found there. It is then called for every substitution of this rule.

An ATP segment specifies the organizational unit (product / location / account assignment / sublocation / product version) and the characteristic value assignment for the availability check.

If this user exit is not active, the ATP segment for the substitution check is determined as follows:

  • Product and location are adopted from the substitution.
  • The account assignment is adopted from the ATP segment of the requirement to be substituted.
  • The sublocation is initial.
  • The product version is initial.
  • The characteristic value assignment is initial.
  • The product allocation procedure is initial and therefore the product master settings are used in a product allocation check.

Notes

The following points are to be considered when setting the ATP segment (parameter ES_ATPSGM):

  • You are only permitted to set the same combination of product/ location/account assignment in the ATP segments of two substitutions of the same rule, if the parameter number of substitutions has value 1 in the RBA rule.
  • It is currently not possible to set a reference for the characteristic value assignment (characteristic reference). This means that substitutions are always checked with the ATP segment whose characteristic reference is initial (blank).
  • The combination of product, location and account assignment in the ATP segment must be valid. That is, in particular, the product must be maintained in the location.
  • A sublocation or a product version which is set in the ATP segment must be valid for the product/location combination of the ATP segment.
