Functionality

Modification of the interest calculation according to the market.

Market interest is calculated by multiplying the balance of the employee loan by the market interest rate, and dividing this amount by the number of payroll preiods corresponding to the employee year.

Example

Current loan balance: $ 80,000
Market interest rate: 25%
Fortnightly-paid employee: 26 payroll periods per year.
Market interest = (80,000 * .25)/26 = 769.230

This function module can be used to calculate market interest in a way different to the standard proposed method.
This function module could be used, for example, if instead of using payroll periods, you use the number of days in a year, or a fixed number of days per year.

Warning

This function module should only be changed if the following conditions are met:

• Standard SAP processes do not meet your requirements.

• You have extensive knowledge of ABAP/4 programming.

• This function module should only be used for the purposes mentioned above. Any other use does not guarantee correct results within the system.
