Functionality

This user exit enables you to define ESS users and password assignments according to your requirements.

Standard user and password assignment

In the standard system, transaction HRUSER is used to assign ESS users and passwords automatically.

• An ESS user consists of the letter 'P' and the personnel number. (If the personnel number contains less then eight digits, leading zeros are added as appropriate.)

• The standard password is 'INIT'.

Customer-specific user and password assignment

The EXIT_SAPLEHUS_001 function module enables you to define your own user and password assignment.

• The module contains personnel numbers as importing parameters.

• The module requires a user name and initial password for each user as exporting parameters.

When ESS users are created using transaction HRUSER or the appropriate workflow application, the 'exit module for user name and password' option can then be used to assign passwords.
