EXIT_SAPLIAOM_SERVICE_001 - Changes the Characteristics of a CO Object to Be Created or Changed

Functionality

Using this function module exit, you can change characteristics of Controlling objects when you create or change Controlling objects. You can add new characteristics. For characteristics transferred by the system, you can enter

• Whether, and in which master data field of an internal order a characteristic should be transferred (relevant for single-object controlling, component FIELD_NAME_OREXT of the IAOM_OBJECT_ATTRIBUTE structure.)

• Whether, and in which characteristic of the profitability segment a characteristic should be transferred (relevant for single-object controlling and mass-object controlling with profitability segment, components STRUC_NAME_COPA and FIELD_NAME_COPA of the IAOM_OBJECT_ATTRIBUTE structure ).

Characteristics that are transferred by the system are not allowed to be deleted and their values (component VALUE) are not allowed to be changed. Organizational units of R/3 (for example, company code) that are transferred by the system cannot be changed at all.

Example

In the CRM Service and CRM Sales business scenarios, you can use customer exits for customer-specific characteristics. You use the exits to transfer these characteristics from CRM to R/3 when creating a Controlling object for a CRM business transaction or for a transaction item (structures BAPI_CO_SERVICE_CUSTOMER and BAPI_CO_SALES_CUSTOMER).

In this function module exit, you read the characteristics from the structure, and add them to the characteristics of the Controlling object. In the case of single-object controlling, you also enter the customer field, to which the field of the internal order the characteristic should be written. In the case where characteristics were added to the operating concern, also enter the CO-PA characteristic that is to be filled.

Notes

Those characteristics of CRM transactions and transaction items in single-object controlling that are transferred by the system can only be used by order summarization in reporting if you transfer this characteristic to the customer fields of the internal order using this function module exit.
