Functionality

The function module enables targeted reading or changing of data that was stored in internal structures, and transferred to the function modules via the interface to create an interim document.
Any change to the data in the interim document should be coordinated with the manufacturer of the EDI subsystem.

Example

Notes

The function module is called up once at the end of an EDI partner. It is typically used to output totals fields for reporting purposes, or for customer-specific follow-up actions.
