Functionality

This function module enables you to check the syntax of the external patient ID that was entered as a search criterion on the intial screen of patient- and case-related processing.

Example

Your external check digits all start with the patients' date of birth. Using this function you can check whether the entry made in the search screen actually starts with a valid date of birth. If this is not the case, you can terminate the search operation by means of an error message, since it will be inconclusive.
