EXIT_SAPLV50S_001 - User Exit for Controlling Document Number Assignment in Decentralized WMS

Functionality

You can use this module to control whether a delivery should be assigned a new document number when it is copied from the central host system into the decentralized Warehouse Management System or whether the document number from the host system should continue to be used in the Warehouse Management System.

If the CF_FLAG_DOCNUM_NEW flag is not selected, the document number from the central system is used, provided it does not interfere with existing document numbers. If the flag is selected, the system assigns a new document number.

The default value for flag CF_FLAG_DOCNUM_NEW is space (not selected), meaning that if no changes are made, the document number from the central system is carried over to the Warehouse Management System.

Notes

When you choose a number range for deliveries in the Warehouse Management System, you should make sure that it does not overlap with that of the external document number assignment in the central system.

For technical reasons, new document numbers assigned in the decentralized system cannot be reported back to the central system. In other words, the new document number is only recognized in the decentralized Warehouse Management System. To keep the delivery processing procedure transparent when using a decentralized Warehouse Management System, we recommend using central system document numbers in the decentralized system.
