Functionality

You use this function module to generate a mandate ID for a newly created mandate.

This function module gets a number via the determined number range interval according to the current mandate. It then checks whether the number has been used by another mandate. If yes, the function module continues searching for a new number and checks it again until it finds an available number and then returns that number.

Note that the function module checks a maximum of 20 numbers. After 20 failed attempts, an error message appears.

Meanwhile, the mandate ID will be handled with a passed handler. For example, the handler can return the mandate ID directly or concatenate the ID with a prefix such as the paying company code. You can also use your own handler by implementing an already defined interface.
