Functionality

The function module called for event P704 is called after an enhanced inbound correspondence request was created or changed. You can use this event to trigger follow-up activities.

One possible application of the event is to write a trigger for extracting data to your business warehouse system (BI) whenever new requests are created or changed. You can then analyse inbound correspondence relatated activities in BI.

In case an inbound correspondence request is created, the function module supplies only new values. If a request is changed, old and new values are supplied.

This is true with one exception. If you create a request for a master data set, inbound correspondence type period and lower boundary of the billing period for which a request already exists that was cancelled, old and new values are supplied.
