FMFG_ASSET_TRANSFER - US Federal Asset Transfer Extension

Functionality

Function Module FMFG_ASSET_TRANSFER was created for the US Federal Cancelled Fund Asset Transfer process. In US Federal Accounting, when a fund cancells, its assets must be transferred to a new fund. The standard asset transfer program in SAP FI-AA does not post to a transfer/contra account, therefore, to transfer an asset between two funds in a SAP US Federal environment, the "intercompany asset transfer" transaction must be used (and not the "transfer within company code").

The standard "intercompany asset transfer" function in SAP posts the net amount (between acquisition and depreciation amounts) to the 'contra acquisition account". This function module creates the following additional line items:

Contra Account: Asset - Transfer Out

Contra Account: Depreciation - Transfer Out

Contra Account: Depreciation - Transfer In

Configuration table FMFG_T095 holds the account determination values.

Standard FI Assets must be configured first, then FMFG_T095 can be configured.

This function module currently operates within Asset Transaction (is_rlambu-gsvor ) 'UMBU' [ intercompany transfer]
