Functionality

The function module processed in event S777 carries out a balance interest calculation at contract account level.

The interest intervals are determined taking into account the issue date and the frequency defined in the master data.

A balance table is created from the items that fall in the interest interval. The initial balance is the balance of the last entry in the interest history DFSCIHISTIOB. DFKKOPK-VALUT is decisive for the due date of the items. If a field has no entry, DFKKOP-FAEDN is used. In clearing, DFKKOP-AUGVD is used for the due date. If the field is not filled, DFKKOPK-VALUT is used. If this field is also empty, the posting date of the clearing (DFKKOP-AUGBD) is used.

Depending on the withholding tax code for outgoing payments defined in the relevant contract account, the interest document created receives a withholding tax item.

If entries have arisen in clarification table DFSCICLARIOB as a result of postings in periods for which interest has already been calculated, the interest documents created since then are reversed and interest is recalculated for the period. If an interest document cannot be reversed, an inverse posting is created for this document (balance interest calculation is reset). The relationship between the inverse posting and the interest document is updated in table DFSCIREV.
