SAP E-Book

Search for a value in a basic or single-dimension set. G_INTERVAL_FIND_VALUE checks whether there is an object for the specified set that fulfills the condition:

  • "TVAL-FROM <= comparison value <= TVAL-TO"

If the procedure is called several time the respective next object is determined each time that fulfills the condition. If no (more) objects exist, SUBRC = 4 is set.

If the sequential reading in the application is terminated, the control block supplied must be reset using the function G_CONTROL_BLOCK_RESET. If the sequential reading is completed, this occurs automatically with G_OBJECT_GET (unlike SAPFGSB0, where the control block must always be reset explicitly).
