Functionality

This function module will check for 25 December, 26 December, 1 January and 2nd January. If any of these days fall on a Saturday and it is not a working day for an employee then the public holiday will be moved to the next Monday.

If any of these days fall on a Sunday and it is not a working day for the employee then the public holiday will be moved to the Tuesday.

The holiday class and day type recorded against the original holiday date will be removed and moved to the new date. If any of these four public holidays occur at a weekend and the day is a working day for the employee the public holiday will not be moved.

In some cases these holidays may have been defined in configuration as guaranteed public holidays. The function module will remove the new public holiday that is created as a result of guaranteeing as this behaviour does not meet NZ requirements.
