Functionality

This function provides the ability for Computer Aided Testing Tools (CATT & eCATT) to add or modify so called "taxable and tax, manual entries" for the U.S. Tax Reporter module. These manual entries are commonly known as T5UT1 entries. This function would normally be done via the "Utilities -> Manual entries -> Taxable and tax" menu in the main Tax Reporter (TR) transaction PU19. No delete function is provided.

The module is required instead of using common table maintenance transactions like SE16 (Data browser) or SM30 (Table view maintenance) because of the unique nature of the PAYDT key element of the manual entries table T5UT1 and the associated table T51T9. T5UT1-PAYDT is not a date field but instead is a number generated from the number range RP_TAXDATE and mapped to a real pay date (aka., check date) in table T51T9. Furthermore, creation of manual entries also often requires entries to be generated in other supporting TR tables such as T5UQR and T5UX1. T5UQR tracks cross quarter retro-calculations and T5UX1 keeps track of the tax companies and tax authorities and employee is paid for a given tax year. These entries are required for proper employee selection and processing by Tax Reporter.

IMPORTANT! This module is intended for use by internal SAP programs to perform automated testing of the U.S., Tax Reporter function and is not supported for any other use.
