IB_GET_ADDRESS_INHERITED - IB: Ermittlung der direkten oder geerbten Addresse (für Komponente)

Functionality

This function module is called up from the IBase Application Programming Interface (API), if you have activated address inheritance in Customizing.

It delivers the following for an Installed Base component at a specific point in time:

• Addresses that have been directly assigned to the component.

• Addresses that were passed on to the component, either by a component that is higher up in the hierarchy, or in the installed base header.

If no point in time has been specified, the assigned addresses are issued at the current time.

In Customizing, you can define the hierarchy level up to which address inheritance should take place.

The level of inheritance is transferred to the function module by the calling API, using input parameter (I_LEVEL_DOWN). The API reads this information in Customizing. If I_LEVEL_DOWN is not zero, all addresses in components lower in the hierarchy than the component to which the address was directly assigned, up to the given level, are read.
