ISH_OM_OU_BU_RELEASE - IS-H: Release Organizational Units and Building Units

Functionality

This function module is used for checking the data consistency for organizational units or building units.

The services offered can be broadly classified into three major functionalities:

• Filling the ISHID:

For all of the objects imported, if they have no entry for ISHID in the database, the database will be populated with ISHIDs using an internal number range. This processing will take place irrespective of whether it is a test run or not. Even the datasets with errors or warnings will be populated with ISHIDs.

• Checks for consistency :

All of the objects will be checked for various factors like relationships and validations for consistency.

• Updating database:

Depending upon the importing parameter I_TESTRUN, the release flag is set for those imported objects which are not marked as 'ERROR'. If I_TESTRUN is marked 'ON', only the error and warning messages are exported and no release flag changes are processed in the database.

All of the error, warning, and success messages can be seen in the return messages table ET_RETURN.
