Functionality

This function module provides the API layer which imports a list of external patient identification numbers (IT_PNT_EXTNR) and returns a list of patient numbers (ET_PNT_PPK) with corresponding external patient identification numbers.

It checks the buffer initially and, if the data is not found, retrieves the details from the database.

If you want to bypass the buffer, set the import parameter I_READ_DB to 'X'.
