Functionality

This function module is only an example for the interface and the configuration of search help exits in search helps.

All of the interface parameters defined here are mandatory for a function module that is to serve as a search help exit, because the program that calls the module does not know which parameters are really used internally.

A search help exit is called at multiple timepoints (also called "events") in the F4 process flow. The respective process flow step is specified in CALLCONTROL-STEP. If the module only wishes to make a few modifications before the step, CALLCONTROL-STEP should remain unaltered.

By contrast, if the step is entirely taken over from the module, the subsequent step must be returned in CALLCONTROL-STEP.

The module must react with an immediate EXIT to all steps that it does not recognize or does not wish to handle.
