Operands and Their Meanings

Input operands

QUANT Quantity operand to be updated

Functions

This variant is only required in connection with backbilling or period-end billing. If you use it in a periodic billing with backbilling, then the value of the quantity operand from the period is updated in the correction periods.

If you use it in a period billing rate with backbilling, then the value of the quantity operand from the period-end billing period is updated in the correction periods. The quantity cannot be prorated in the current period (technical prerequisites).

Example

Each month you add the consumption from the previous periods to the current consumption. In the period-end billing at the end of the year you use the annual quantity calculated in this way and the annual quantity agreed in the contract to calculate the quantity not consumed. This amount is then divided by 12 and is updated in the correction periods using BACKBI08. A valuation is then executed here.
