Functionality
You can use this variant to valuate a demand value independently of time. In this process, the demand value is multiplied by the price amount that is valid on the last day of the billing period. The time dependency of the price is not taken into account here. As a result, a billing line item is generated that contains as its net amount the product of the demand value multiplied by the price amount. The billing line item applies to the period of one day (the last day of the billing period).
The demand value is only valuated if the period for which the variant is executed contains the last day of the billing period. This means that no valuation occurs if the variant is executed for a period that does not contain the last day of the billing period - this could be the case if a rate category or a rate is changed.
If blocks or scales are defined for the price, these are accounted for in the valuation.

Example
This variant could be used for billing of the electricity obtainment right. This refers to a billing value that is restricted to the Austrian energy market and is represented by a demand value.
When an electricity obtainment right is billed, only the value of the demand value in demand units is relevant; there is no time reference.
You can use this variant to bill the electricity obtainment right. The variant multiplies the number of demand units by the price (price per demand unit).
