Input operands
DEMAND Active power
DEMAND Reactive power
Output operands
FACTOR Cosine phi in percent
Functions
A cosine phi is determined using the quotients for active power and reactive power. The demand included in the first operand is interpreted as active power and that included in the second operand as reactive power.
Please note that the demands are determined exclusively from the operand name and the accompanying powers. Specifications made at register level regarding use as an active or reactive register are disregarded.
Unlike the variant DEMAND13, the cosine phi is not calculated using a formula but by accessing table EPOWERF. This table contains whole factors between 0 and 100 depending on the quotient.
The cosine phi and is updated (operand update) for specific time slices after demands have been changed. The demand determined from the billing period is normally the same for the active or reactive power. In some cases, for example when selecting the 'Demand per Month' indicator in the operand, several different demand values exist and the cosine phi is determined for these values, prorated as required.
Info Lines and Control Options
ZAHL1 = Active power
ZAHL2 = Reactive power
ZAHL3 = Cosine phi
MASS1 = Unit of measurement for active power
MASS2 = Unit of measurement for reactive power
Example for Use
This special method of determining the cosine phi using a separate table meets a request from Japan for modifying the demand value to be billed.
