Operands
Input operands
INTEGER Start month of the interval
INTEGER End month of the interval
Functionality
Does the current allocation month for billing fall within the specified interval?
The allocation month is determined from the allocation date. Only integral values between 1 and 12 are permitted for both operands. If the interval crosses into a new year, the value for the start month must be larger than that for the end month. For example, when a query is performed for the period from November through March, you must enter 11 for the start month and 3 for the end month.
The current value for the interval limits is always used (see additional information).
How is the allocation date determined?
- Periodic billing: the allocation date is determined from the allocation date for billing specified in the portion.
- Final billing: the move-out date is used as the allocation date.
- Interim billing: the allocation date specified during generation of the meter reading order is used.
- Billing simulation (with billing order): the method described above that applies to the particular billing transaction is used to determine the allocation date.
- Actual simulation without billing order: the end of the billing period is used as the allocation date.

Example
In certain months of the year, special rate processing is to occur that requires other (or additional) schema steps. Season-based schema steps have not been used for modeling for one of the following reasons:
- The season was already used for another period.
- In the case of (monthly) billing, proration is not to occur due to a change in season.
