ISU_MSAM10_METER_REPL_CREATE - Create for device installation/removal/replacement

Functionality

If the Utilities Industry Solution is enabled in the back-end, then this Function Module can be used to create new meter installations / replacements / removals whether or not a maintenance or service notification/order are involved. Otherwise this Function Module will return an error when invoked.

Notes

Errors are transferred in the CT_RETURN table.

Customer Enhancements

The Function Module customer enhancement concept allows customers to use additional data that was not planned for the interface. The ExtensionIn parameter acts as a data container where the additional values are transferred during import.

In addition to the extension parameters at the interface, there are BAdIs (Business Add-Ins) in the Function Module. Should the Utilities Industry Solution be enabled in the back-end, then these BAdIs can be used to check the data that is transferred to the method by the customer, and perform additional processing activities.

Utilities-related processes may only be successfully invoked if the Utilities Industry Solution is enabled in the back-end, otherwise an error will occur.

Special upload-only tables exist to be used for the execution of the Utilities processes. The entries within these tables are considered creation requests (i.e. to install / replace / remove a meter).
