Functionality

MAO ( Minimal Annual Obligation )

The accumulated actual consumption within the the MAO backbilling period, including the current period, is compared with the agreed minimal consumption.

If the actual consumption falls short of the agreed minimal consumption, then a deficit volume is created, which is available in the first output operand for further processing other variants, and for valuating the deficit volume with a price.

Details:

If the expected minimal obligation for the current MAO period does not have a prorated percentage, then the deficit volume is simply the difference between the expected minimal obligation and the accumulated consumption.

In the case of a prorated percentage, the current expected minimal obligation (technical) is calculated with each individual percentage, and the part deficit is mapped to the cumulated consumption. The resulting deficit volume is then the time portion-weighted average of the part deficit.

The expected minimal obligation for the next MAO period can be:

constant value

Maximum [actual consumption, time portion-weighted average of percentage * current minimal obligation ]. This maximum is dynamically calculated in the variant.

Note also:

(->Operand Update)

It is only advisable to use this variant if you are dealing with a register operand in the first input operand. These are only recognized within the corresponding rate, but are possibly required for processing in other rates.
