ISU_READ_R001_R020 - IS-U: Determine Business Area

Functionality

The function module called at event R020 determines the relevant business area when a document is posted manually. If the business area balance sheet is activated, then there needs to be an entry in the GSBER (business area) field in the business partner item when a document is posted manually.

Example

If when the document was posted manually the business area was already specified, no further checks are necessary. If, on the other hand, no entry was made in the business area field at that time, function module ISU_READ_R001_R020 determines a business area using posting area R001 from the Utilities industry and posting area T001 from the Telecommunications industry. If the business area field is still empty and the business area balance sheet is activated, the system can issue an error message.
