Functionality

The function modules called at event 0040 can carry out additional checks for a business partner item. These checks cover not only the item data (I_FKKOP) but can also take the document header (I_FKKKO) and the repetition specifications (T_FKKOPW) into account.

Notes

If you write function modules to carry out checks of your own, use error messages (MESSAGE E...) only, not exceptions. You should avoid using warning messages, because there is no way of reacting to them during background processing. In interactive processing they can be confirmed when they appear, but in background processing this is not possible, so the system will simply treat warning messages as error messages.
