Functionality

This variant calculates the active power loss of a power line based on the formula:

LLoss_R = (LC_A^2 + LC_R^2) * LL * LK / (LU^2 * T * WS * 1000)

The parameters are taken directly from the input operands (see below). Before executing the variant, you must have all necessary parameters and units of measurement.

Parameters   Unit of Measurement   Unit Characters
LLoss_R   Calculated reactive power loss   kvarh
LC_A   Watt-hour consumption   kWh
LC_R   Reactive energy consumption   kvarh
T   Time portion in days (30 day rule)
WS   Operating hours per day
LL   Length of power line   km
LK   Reactance of power line   Ohm/km
LU   Voltage of power line   kV

Operands and Their Meaning

Input Operands   Description
QUANT   Watt-hour consumption of power line
QUANT   Reactive energy consumption of power line
INTEGER   Operating hours per day
REFVALUE   Length of power line
REFVALUE   Electricial coltage of power line
REFVALUE   Reactance of power line

Output Operands
QUANT   Reactive energy losses of power line

Info Lines and Control Options

You can use variant controls to determine whether information lines are output for active power losses.

The fields of the info lines contain the following values:

ZEITANT   Time portion according to 30 day rule
I_ZAHL1   Watt-hour consumption
I_ZAHL2   Reactive energy consumption
I_ZAHL3   Reactive power loses
I_ZAHL4   Operating hours per day

Example

Notes

This variant covers special requirements for the Chinese market. This includes calculating the time portion according to what is called the 30 day rule: The time portion is set to the value <30 days> irrespective of the actual length of the billing period.

Exceptions:

  • Move-in billing
  • Move-out billing
  • Interim billing
  • The previous billing run executed for the contract was interim billing
  • Simulation of billing without reference to a billing order
  • The meter reading unit has changed since the previous billing run for the contract
  • A billing-relevant change was made to the transformer characteristics (installation, removal, replacement, change of rate type, etc.) during the billing period
  • The billing period contains a limitation by means of:
  • A change to the rate category

  • A change to the demand factor agreed to in the contract

  • A price change during valuation of the power transformer losses, and so on.

For this reason, the variant can only be used for monthly billing.

You can use this variant as a template for your own variants.
