Functionality

This module serves only as an example for the interface and structure of search help exits in search helps.

All the interface parameters that are defined here are mandatory for a function modules that is to be used as a search help exit. This is because the caller of the function does not know which parameter is used internally.

A search help exit is called at several timepoints during the F4 process flow. CALLCONTROL-STEP lists each step of the process flow. If the module is only used to make a few modifications prior to the step, CALLCONTROL-STEP should remain unchanged.

If, on the other hand, the module is used to transfer the entire step, the subsequent step has to be returned in CALLCONTROL-STEP.

The module must exit immediately all steps that it does not recognize or will not process.
