Functionality

The function module determines the relevant handling unit or storage unit data for TRM. Based on the transfer order information, it decides whether the given source or destination handling unit/storage unit data should be passed to TRM.

Example

TRM does not always need to move the whole source storage unit given in the transfer order. In the case of partial picking, for example, the source storage unit does not move from its storage bin, and another storage unit serves as a pick-handling unit.

In this case, TRM has to move the pick-handling unit, but not the source storage unit given in the transfer order.
