Functionality

The function module determines a valid supplying plant for the plant or customer number, validity date and/or material group entered.

Several supplying plants may be determined for the validity date entered. Priorities for these plants are entered in the plant master.

The system checks whether the material is listed for the plant, starting with the plant with highest priority (= 1).

Further checks can be included in a user exit.

If the checks for a supplying plant are unsuccessful, the system checks the plant with the next-highest priority.

If the module is called with a material group, and no suppyling plants could be found for the material group, the system tries to find a valid supplying plant at plant level.
