Functionality

This function module dispatches the request documents (header, items, and dependencies) to the Task Management package for a specified request or several items of a request. The Task Management function module for request processing is called in a background task. Thus, in the system, there could be several requests, processed in parallel.

The scheduler is called:

  • When a new host document is created, with an indication of urgent processing mode in one of its items (field PRSMD in the table LRQSI). The processing mode can be influenced by the user through the BAdI on the host side (FM LESI_TO_REQUEST_CREATE).
  • On the confirmation of a task from the task chain, the function module LTRQ_REQST_SCHDL_URGENT is called for the specific item in the request, for which the confirmation occurred.
    The task chain is a situation, in which for a request item several tasks are created: for example, the 1st task from the original source to the intermediate destination, the 2nd task from P&D to the final destination.
  • Manually from the TRM monitor on the request header level.

To decide which request items within a specified request will to be processed, the following parameters are considered:

  • Processing mode of the request item (LRQSI-PRSMD). If the urgent scheduler is run from the host document creation, only the items with urgent processing mode will be processed. The user can influence the content of this field in the BAdI on the host side.
  • If the urgent scheduler is run manually, all items of the specified request will be processed.
  • If a specific task or task bundle is confirmed and it belongs to a task chain, only corresponding request items are processed.
