Function description:

This function module was designed for reading base material groups that are stored in the Classification System with higher-level hierachies.

Function description for the input parameters:

  • MATKL
  • IF SPACE:

Then all base material groups are selected from table T023 for the hierachy level search.
  • IF a base material group is entered:

  • the system checks if this base material group exists. If it does not, exception: NO_BASIS_MG, no table output.

  • SPRAS
Language in which the material group description is displayed.
  • WG_BEZ
IF flag is set, the descriptions for the material groups and material group hierarchies are displayed.
  • WG_STUFEN
  • IF entry = 0 or 1

only the base material group is displayed.
  • IF entry = 2 or space

the base material group and a maximum of one hierarchy level is displayed.
  • IF entry = 3

the base material group and a maximum of two hierarchy levels is displayed.
  • IF entry = N

the base material group and a maximum of (n-1) hierarchy levels is displayed.

  • MATNR
The entry is only relevant if MATKL is blank and MATNR has an entry in it. This leads to RAISE EXEPTION 01. (Information System)

Output table O_WGHIER.

The table displays the (n-1)-th hierarchy level in one line (identifiable by the field STUFE) and the n-th hierarchy level in another (identifiable by the field HSTUFE). If the end of the hierarchy is reached by a material group, or it is restricted by means of the parameter WG_STUFEN, the flag HENDE = X is set in this record.

Exceptions:

  • NO_BASIS_WG

Precisely one material group (MATKL field) that is not a base material group (no table entry in T023) was transferred, or the MATKL field has not been filled and the MATNR field has.

  • NO_MG_HIER

No hierarchy was found for the one base material group that was transferred.
