Functionality

Structural Graphics for Displaying and Editing PD Structures and Objects

This function module controls the entire dialog flow of SAP Structural Graphics in PD. This includes the interaction and provision of objects and, if required, the toolbox and design.

The function module uses the specifications in PD Customizing for Structural Graphics.

There are two basic options for data collection:

• Transfer of a pointer to a root object in a structure for which reporting has already been carried out (STRUCTURE_BUILD).

• Transfer of all required (PD) reporting parameters. The root objects for this kind of reporting are transferred in a table.

You can combine the two options.

Each implementation of the function module PD_STRUCTURAL_GRAPHICS describes a context that is entered in table T77GC. This means that each call can be assigned a data set, a design, and a toolbox of its own. This assignment is carried out in Customizing.

Callback routines enable the user calling to modify, supplement, or even create the object table, the design table, and the toolbox directly before data transfer, thus giving the user more control.

In addition, the user can control user interaction in the graphic, rather than this being controlled by the function modules specified in the Definition of Tools (table T77GT).
