Preliminary comment

This function module has been released.

The documentation is being revised so that it conforms to the requirements for released function modules.

Functionality

The function module sends a dialog box in which the text of a document is displayed.

The parameters in the document are replaced, as specified in the internal table.

The document to be transferred must be created with the documentation maintenance transaction (SE61) as a document of the class "Text in dialog".

If the document does not exist in the specified language, an English version is first looked for, and output if found. If no English version exists either, a German version is looked for.

Examples

The program RSSPO600 contains an example.

Notes
  • Texts which contain no parameters can be displayed with the function module POPUP_DISPLAY_TEXT.
  • It is not checked whether all parameters used in the text document are transferred into the internal table PARAMETERS. Missing parameters are not displayed.
  • Use numbered texts to make parameters translatable .
  • You can choose between modal and amodal dialog boxes with the parameter HELP_MODAL. If amodal display is not possible, a modal window is used.
  • You can go directly to the text maintenance with the function key F7.
