Functionality

The functionality of the module relates to a fixed use, a fixed application and a fixed access sequence, and is therefore only to be used by the POS interface.

The module analyzes the condition intervals of the input table in line with the hierarchy levels set in the access sequence. All points in time from when a condition can change during a period under examination (PI_DATAB to PI_DATBI) are determined, i.e. only at these points in time does it make sense to determine prices in the POS interface.

If parameter PI_INC_FIRST_RECORD = 'X', the system checks whether the hierarchy level of table PI_KOTABNR contains an interval that contains the start date for the period under examination, and if it is not covered by a higher hierarchy level, the start of the period under examination is given as the point in time.

Example

'-' : corresponds to a day of the validity interval of a condition.
H1 - H4: Hierarchy level 1 to 4 (can be any number of levels).
The smaller the number the higher the hierarchy level.
# : Result of the routine. Day on which a condition can change-
(#) : Is only transferred if paraameter PI_INC_FIRST_RECORD
= 'X' and PI_KOTABNR refers to hierarchy level H3.
If PI_KOTABNR refers to H4, this day is not transferred,
because it is already covered by H3.
