Functionality

A backflush was created in the SAP APO system. The data for the backflush is then transported into the R/3 Discrete Industries system.

Using the function module created, associated R/3 processes are then carried out:

  • Goods movement postings, stocks updated in APO
  • Production activities posted
  • HR data posted
  • LIS updated
  • Requirements reduction in APO triggered

There are two processing methods:

  • Synchronous processing
  • Asynchronous processing

In the case of asynchronous processing, the backflushes, which are summarized in a worklist, are accessed and processed cumulatively. In the case of synchronous processing, the processes are carried out immediately.
