Features

The function module adds a transaction to the existing menu of a single role at the first hierarchy level, irrespective of whether the transaction is already in the role menu.

Requirements

The function module call fails completely if the following conditions are not all met:

  • The role transferred under the parameter AGR_NAME must be a single role, but must not be a derived role.
  • The executing user must have authorization to change the single role (object S_USER_AGR, ACTVT = 02).
  • The executing user must also have authorization to maintain the menu for the transaction to be added (object S_USER_TCD), if it is not yet in the role menu.
  • If the single role has a target system attribute, the transaction to be added must exist in the target system. Otherwise, the transaction must be valid in the local system.
  • The single role must not be locked by another user.
  • If automatic role recording is active because the customizing switch CLIENT_SET_FOR_ROLES in table PRGN_CUST is set to YES and the automatic change recording for client-specific objects is selected in transaction SCC4, the single role must be successfully included in a transport request.

If one of these checks or actions fails, the module call is terminated with an exception. Each exception is linked to an system message. The RETURN table returns the system messages for all failed checks and actions to the caller.
