PVSHI_INTERNAL_OBJECT_ID - iPPE: Read GUID for iPPE Object
CPI1466 during Backup Addresses (Business Address Services)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Functionality
iPPE objects (node, variant, and alternative) are identified by an external ID:
- A node is identified by its internal identification (NODE_NAME) and sometimes by its product class assignment (CLASS_NUM and CLASS_TYPE, class and class type).
- A variant of a node has another external identification (VARIANT_NAME) in addition to the external identification of the node.
- An alternative of a node has another external identification (ALTERNATIVE_NAME) in addition to the external identification of the node.
- An alternative of an (assembly) variant has another external identification (ALTERNATIVE_NAME) in addition to the external identification of the variant.
The parameter APPLICATION_TYPE must be filled with the application type of the object when the module is called as the external identification is only unique together with the application type.
iPPE APIs work with the internal idenfications of the objects (NODE_ID, VARIANT_ID, and ALTERNATIVE_ID) and so the external identification must be converted with the internal identifications using this API. If the external identification points to an existing object, the API gets the object's ID and the EXISTENCE field has the value 'X'.
