Functionality

The PVSHI_PNACT_MAINTAIN function module is for maintaining objects from the iPPE process structure. You can use this module for creating, editing and deleting nodes from the process structure. You can also maintain the alternatives of an activity (modes) with this module. You can use this module to create relationships between nodes in the process structure and to assign components (nodes and variants in the product structure), as well as to create line balance relationships.

You can create, change and delete the following objects with this module:

  • Routing header
  • Grouping activity
  • Operation
  • Activity
  • Mode
  • Relationships for structuring the process structure (hierarchy relationships)
  • Relationships between activities in the process structure and the nodes or variants in the product structure.
  • Relationships between the mode and the factory layout (line balance relationships)

The ACTIVITYNODEDATA table provides the module with the identification of a node. A node is identified by its internal identification (NODE_ID). The NODE_ID of a node (both for existing nodes and for nodes that are being created) is determined by the PVSHI_INTERNAL_OBJECT_ID function module.

All data belonging to the node can be entered in the relevant tables. The corresponding internal identification for the node (NODE_ID) must also be entered.

When you wish to delete nodes from the process structure, modes or relationships, it is sufficient to transfer the corresponding internal identifications and set the DELETE_FLG in the ACTIVITYNODEDATA, ACTIVITYALTDATA and ACTIVITYRELATIONDATA parameters. You can delete line balance relationships by filling the first six fields in the LINEBALANCINGRELATION table and setting the DELETE_FLG.

Notes

Customer enhancements to the mode of the activity are maintained using the ACTIVITYALTEXTENSION table. The table contains the values of the customer-specific fields. The identifications ALTERNATIVE_ID and CHANGE_NO are used for making the assignment to the relevant mode.
