PVSHI_PVCMP_GETLIST - iPPE: Search Help for Variants of Product Structure

Functionality

This module reads internal identifications (VARIANT_ID) of variants in the product structure.

The following can be used as search criteria for variants:

• DMU documents:

Finds all variants that contain this document. The API PVSHI_CONVERT_DOCUMENT_ID can be used to convert the ERP-specific ID for the document info record into an API format.

• Material/Product:

Finds all variants that contain this material/product.

• Nodes:

Finds all variants that are assigned to this node. The node is determined by its internal identification (NODE_ID).

• Change numbers:

Finds all variants that were maintained with this change number.

All search criteria can be provided in the form of a table. It is advisable to fill only one of the three tables. It is not possible to search using wild cards (such as all materials beginning with "PPE_").

The search results can be limited to variants from the PVS access level, view level, or structure level. Any combination of these levels is possible.
