Task
Valuation of a quantitative inspection characteristic with a tolerance range limited on one or both sides, based on an n-k sampling plan using the mean value and standard deviation of the measured values (s-method of a variable inspection in accordance with ISO 3951).
Statistical model
The measured values have a normal distribution. The location and scale parameters are not known for the normal distribution. The tolerance range is limited on one or both sides. In a tolerance range limited on both sides, the fraction of units that exceed the lower limit and the fraction that exceed the upper limit are dealt with at the same time.
Interface
The following information is required to valuate the sample:
- Sampling plan n-k
- Tolerance range
- Arithmetic mean of the valid measured values
- Standard deviation of the valid values
This information is given in the corresponding fields of the valuation structure.
Additional information
If the appropriate setting was made for the task list characteristic, the function module automatically creates defect data records, if the characteristic is rejected.
