Functionality

You can use this function module to create and send different documents from a quality notification.

The follow-up function is documented in the notification either as a task or an activity. This task or activity is stored in coded form. The code group and code of the task or activity must be assigned to the relevant follow-up function in Customizing of the action box.

The code text of the assigned code serves as the title for the document created. In addition, you can enter a long text for this code. This text serves as a proposed text for the document to be created.

There are many ways to transmit the document (printing, mail to an internal user, fax, E-mail). All partners maintained in the notification are proposed as recipients, as well as any notification addresses that you have maintained in the notification.

Example

You have assigned the code group QM-G1 and the code 30 from catalog type 2 (tasks) to the follow-up function "Send statement to customer". The short text for this code is "Statement" and you can maintain an additional standard text in the long text field.

When you execute the follow-up function "Send statement to customer", you can then select the recipient from the partners that are maintained for the notification.

Then another window appears, where the long text that you have maintained for the code 30 is proposed. You can make changes to this standard text at this point (changes have no influence on the original standard text). It is possible to switch to the print preview of the document at this point.

The title of the document is 'Statement'.

In this way, it is easy for you to create a standard document with a standard text, without having to adapt the function module or the form.

Notes

The document that is created is only printed or sent after the associated notification has been saved. You must have entered the function module "QM06_SEND_REPLY_STEP2" in Customizing of the action box as "FM when saving".
