QRKS_MASTER_CHAR_MATERIAL - Control Chart for Master Inspection Characteristic/Material

Functionality

You can specify the function module QRKS_MASTER_CHAR_MATERIAL in an SPC criterion in QM Customizing if you want to use this criterion to maintain quality control charts for a master inspection characteristic (independently of inspection lots and task lists) and if a new control chart should be created for each material.

The system calls the function module automatically during inspection processing when it calculates the sample size, in order to assign the characteristic to an open control chart. If the search is unsuccessful, the system automatically creates a new control chart.

When the system makes the assignment, it checks the following criteria for compatibility:

• SPC criterion

• Plant for master inspection characteristic

• Number of master inspection characteristic

• Control chart type

• Material

If more than one open control chart is available that fulfills all criteria, the system selects the newest control chart.

Notes

If you use this function module for an inspection characteristic without a reference to a master inspection characteristic, the system does not assign a control chart.

It is generally not advisable to use this function module for unlocked characteristics.
