Functionality

In the QM Customizing application, enter the function module QKRT_MEAN_VALUE_ACCEPTANCE_2 for the track of a quality control chart, if you want to use the mean value as a control value for a quantitative characteristic and if the control limits are to be calculated on the basis of the characteristic limits proposed in the plan (acceptance chart).

The required parameter for the variance of distribution of original values is estimated on the basis of the total dispersion of all original values.

In the function module's set-up parameters, you can propose one point of the operating characteristic each for the share above the upper tolerance limit and the share below the lower tolerance limit.

Example

If you want to take action in the process when a share of 5% is above the upper tolerance limit and a share of 2% is below the lower tolerance limit, each with a probability of 95%, select the following parameter values:

Parameter 1,,0.050000
Parameter 2,,0.950000
Parameter 3,,0.020000
Parameter 4,,0.950000

Notes

When the control limits are calculated, it is assumed that the original values for the individual samples are distributed normally.

Further information

Quality control charts in the QM component are described in the Implementation Guide and in the documentation.
